Macquarie Singers is hosting a FREE singing workshop DEBONAIR DICTION – the first in its 2020 series. Explore some of birthday boy Ludwig van Beethoven's Scottish and English folk song arrangements under the friendly and welcoming direction of Dr Sarah Penicka-Smith. Experienced singers will learn tips to perfect their pronunciation, while people who've never sung in a choir can enjoy singing simple folk songs in harmony with others.

2. This Easter SATURDAY 21- TUESDAY 24 March LE LABRINTHE

Venture into the labyrinth and discover your own path to enlightenment. 

Join Anna Fraser, Neal Peres da Costa, Laura Vaughan and Simon Martyn-Ellis on a sumptuous and spiritual journey showcasing Michel-Richard de Lalande’s ‘Leçons de Ténèbres’ and Miserere (1730), a beautiful and rarely heard French Baroque vocal work.

This historically informed concert performed by experts of the genre, showcases music of Versailles with labyrinths as tools for reflection and discovery, and is notable for its inclusion of female chant.
