With over 35 years’ experience in the performing arts, Cath Dadd has taken on roles in many diverse areas from stage management, production and event management, resident directing, directing, company manager, scheduling coordinator, future planning coordinator, artist agent, post-production publicist and performer with many companies including Opera Australia, Bell Shakespeare, Melbourne International Arts Festival, Brisbane Festival, and all the state opera companies among others. From 2018 to 2024, Cath was Director Performing Arts at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre and in June 2025 will be directing Magic Flute for Pacific Opera at the Bondi Pavilion. Her awards include the 2004 Australian Opera Foundation Bayreuth Scholarship and 2005 Goethe-Institut Language Scholarship in Berlin. She has many TV and film credits, including the award-winning documentary by Patricia Lovell Tosca: A Tale of Love and Torture, and OperatunityOz for the ABC.
