Angelique Tot | Mezzo-Soprano
Angelique Tot is a Melbourne-born mezzo-soprano and graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s Master of Performance (Opera). With a repertoire spanning from Handel to contemporary works, she has performed over 20 operatic roles in more than seven languages. Notable appearances include the title role in Bizet’s Carmen, Isabella in Rossini’s L’italiana in Algeri, Dorabella in Mozart’s Così fan tutte, Prince Charming in Massenet’s Cendrillon, Ruggiero in Handel’s Alcina, and Tisbe in Rossini’s La Cenerentola.
Angelique has performed with some of Australia’s leading companies, including Victorian Opera, Melbourne Opera, Lyster Opera, and the Australian Contemporary Opera Company, where she was awarded the Henkell Fellowship. Her international experience includes Young Artist programs with the Berlin Opera Academy, the Eurasia Summer Academy, and the Jerusalem Lyric Opera Festival in both 2022 and 2023.
Additional roles include Cherubino in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, Mercedes in Bizet’s Carmen, and Ramiro in Mozart’s La finta giardiniera, highlighting her versatility across lyric, comedic, and trouser roles.

In addition to her operatic work, Angelique is an experienced oratorio soloist. She has appeared as the alto soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria, Handel’s Messiah, Mozart’s Missa Brevis in F, and Gounod’s Messe Chorale.
